Presentation Synopsis
The current global COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted how people behave, as seen in the consumer mindset shift towards healthier lifestyle habits.
Coca-Cola wanted to understand whether this health trend will be sustained in the “new normal” and how it would impact future beverage purchase and consumption patterns amongst African consumers.
To obtain these insights, Coca-Cola partnered with Borderless Access to conduct an exploratory bot-enabled research study on WhatsApp across South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya.
This study presents the opportunity for Borderless Access to leverage its digital research capability - by employing a conversational chatbot as a virtual interviewer and engaging their online panelists on Africa’s most popular messaging platform.
This case study also highlights the effectiveness of digital research techniques in African markets and proves its readiness to adopt contemporary research methodologies.
